With 20 plus years of experience in ophthalmology, she became an expert in state-of-the-art corneal surgeries, including full-thickness corneal transplantation, partial thickness endothelial keratoplasty and anterior lamellar keratoplasty. Dr Hatice Elvin Yildiz has an advanced experience with +10,000 surgeries in corneal transplant, cataract surgery, refractive surgery, keratoconus, dry eye management, corneal infections and other cornea and ocular surface diseases.
During her career, she has also contributed to the training of many ophthalmology residents and cornea fellows. She has published more than 40 scientific articles in peer reviewed journals. She always enjoys sharing her experience and knowledge with her colleagues and has been invited as a speaker in many scientific meetings.
Qualifications
Dr Hatice Elvin Yildiz is a fellow of Royal College of Surgeons, FRCS, Glasgow, UK and a fellow of European Board of Ophthalmology, FEBOphth.
Education
Dr. Hatice Elvin Yildiz graduated from the Ankara University School of Medicine in 2000 and completed ophthalmology residency in 2003 in Ankara, Turkey.
She had completed Cornea & Refractive Surgery research fellowship program at Wills Eye Institute, Philadelphia, PA and Month Sinai School of Medicine, Newyork, NY, world-renowned eye clinics in the USA, between 2007 and 2009.
